Set Lists from Live Recording

For those of you who couldn’t make it to the live CD recording, I will let you know what was on the setlist. We won’t be able to get the whole show on the final CD, but here’s what we have to choose from;
$12.99, Hard To Say, One Night In The South, Martin, Poker Face, The Garden We’re Growing, A Day To Remember, If I Broke The Record, I Wish You Well, Mulberry Lane, Amanda Bramlett, plus 8 previously unreleased songs. A couple of the unreleased songs have been around for a couple years, so you may have heard Art Auctioneer, That Dude’s Bald and Foul Ball. The other 5 are brand new, titles are ‘Magic’, ‘Someone Tonight’, ‘Christmas Eve’, ‘Avery Taylor’, and one which still doesn’t have a title. I’ll keep you posted on the mixing process.

Live Recording!

The live CD recording last night at the Sundilla Concert Series was a great success. We had an amazing crowd, thanks so much to all who showed up. It was filled to the brim, and the audience brought a great energy to the show. I am really excited to start listening back and getting the CD mixed and into your hands soon. Kelly Walker did a great job with the sound, and has already put in countless hours of work on this project, with more to come. Thank you Kelly! I’ll post the setlist later if you’re curious what was played at the show. In addition to being recorded for the CD, we also had some video taken, so at some point we’ll get some of those up, so it will almost feel like you were there. I’ll keep you posted on the progress of the CD, should be ready to go in less than 2 months.

2 weeks until the live recording!

It just two weeks until the live CD recording at the Sundilla Concert Series here in Auburn. I hope to see you at the show on Friday, July 29th. I’m getting the setlist narrowed down, and am still taking requests, so post ‘em if you’ve got ‘em, or yell them out at the show. The first song to have definitely made it onto the setlist, based on 3 folk DJ’s making the same request is ‘Hard To Say’.

Big News! July 29th, Live CD Recording

I am excited to be able to officialy announce that I will be recording a live CD on Friday, July 29th at the Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series here in Auburn, AL. It has been several years since I’ve put out a new recording, and decided this would be a great way to get some new music out there. The tentative plan is to do 6-7 old songs plus 6-7 new songs. It is going to be solo acoustic, just me and the guitar. If you have any requests as to what songs you would like to hear on the CD, please feel free to give me your requests. If you live anywhere nearby, I hope you will consider coming to the show on Friday, July 29th. It would be great to have you in the audience, and also, on the CD!

Welcome to the new DavePotts.com.

It’s been a few years since I’ve updated the website, so here you go! Have a look around and let me know what you think. The music page on this site makes it really simple to go through any of my CD’s and listen to clips, and download either individual songs, full albums, or even buy an actual real-life CD like we did in the old days.
I have just added a page with unreleased and live tracks. I’m in the process of digging through some old concerts, looking for some more stuff to put up there, so check back regularly, and I’ll try and keep it updated with new tracks. The concert video page is new, I’ve got several YouTube videos on there for your enjoyment.
